Germany introduces Punctuation Nazi to keep internet clean.

From the department of 'Germany and its fickle relationship with this thing called Interwebs'.

We all know the likeable Grammar Nazi, but when it comes to varieties of Nazis, nobody beats the Germans.

So the German state propaganda TV channel ARD took it one step further and introduced the Punctuation Nazi. You fall foul of him and your post gets deleted! (See on German Facebook)

What had happened in good ol'? Someone had the audacity to write a comment with the word 'refugees' in quotation marks. How dare you!

That triggered all alarms at the teutonic channel of utterly f&%cking boredom and the comment was deleted, because:
"Sie hatten Flüchtlinge in Anführungszeichen gesetzt, das kommt einem „sogenannten“ gleich. Deswegen wurde Ihr Kommentar gelöscht."
"You had put refugees in quotation marks, which equates to a "so-called". That's why your comment was deleted."
