asked one of the contacts ... at the summit, MIT professor William Barletta, what he made of Bolt’s carbon offsetting plan, and he didn’t seem to buy it either:
"I have never been a fan of carbon credits. It just has too much the feel of a 21st century version of indulgences with a primary goal of wealth transfer. A carbon tax at the sources seems to make more sense, as there are many activities of public policy that the collected taxes could fund."
