The characteristics of your job, so I suspect, are the cause of your surprise about these Pegida, Legida, and what-not-gida protests and apparently you are annoyed according to the magazine Der Spiegel about

"This attitude of Pegida claiming that one could not speak freely in Germany and that no one would listen". Such allegations are simply not true, and serve only as a pretext to make nonsensical claims ... "

Now you feel pissed about the audacity of people expressing their opinion in broad day light and to be seen worldwide, because the German simpleton's policy had been an altogether different sort of window dressing, n'est-ce pas?
