Federal Job Guarantee vs Basic Income: LIVE with Pavlina Tcherneva

It is rather sad that there is hardly any talk about a federal Job Guarantee in Germany, bearing in mind that the social support system is pretty good. Instead, the UBI is increasingly being touted, has an almost religion-like following and a guru who happens to be a billionaire with a blog.

Surprisingly, this billionaire could easily try to prove the benefits and resulting awesome creativity this UBI supposedly is to bring about by investing, say, 300 million euro of his own money to fund a UBI for x number of people for, say, three years, yet is not committing himself.

What could be the reason? That question is even more salient given the fact that his blog posts often read like apostolic drivel.
