Thank god, it’s over with eight years Schäuble. Flassbeck forgot to give him and parliament credit.

Thank god, it’s over. Eight years of Wolfgang Schäuble
Thank god, it’s over.
Wolfgang Schäuble is no longer Finance Minister of Germany – and de facto of Europe. Following eight years of misguided and destructive policy Europe is trying to extricate itself from Schäuble’s failed legacy. The very existence of the EU is threatened, as the people of European nations increasingly rebel against its neo-liberal policy and Schäuble’s ideologically driven austerity. Youth unemployment and under-employment are at untenable levels. Corruption has become endemic, not only in the EU, but in most EU countries. The United Kingdom is leaving the EU. Shall we need why and who is next?
The most common claim in the German press about Wolfgang Schäuble’s eight years as Germany’s finance minister appeared again in the business daily Handelsblatt on Monday morning: “He saved the euro states and consolidated the budget”. That is to say: he was a German Hercules who saved entire nations and worked wonders in the financial-political sphere that have never been seen before.
That verdict can hardly be more wrong. It would be much closer to the truth to describe his achievement as follows: he drove euro nations to the brink of collapse and allowed the German state to record an enormous current account surplus at exactly the wrong time. Wolfgang Schäuble’s record in Europe should be mentioned in the same breath as his record in Germany, because the two cannot be separated.
Let’s start with Europe... read Flassbeck

Schäuble is a complete idiot and in his final days he chose to make that - unintended - public:
The cause and effect we are talking about here are not easily understood, and one can be sure that he did not understand them. Unfortunately he believes that does not matter – even with hindsight. His curious advice to his incoming successor goes like this:
“He doesn’t have to be the greatest expert. That might even be dangerous, since he would then no longer listen to his advisers.”
And Mr Schäuble adds a claim that is hard to beat in outlandishness:
“Of course, it is important to try to comprehend things. But you must also be able to communicate it. Otherwise a politician is not doing his job.”
He showed being a full-blown idiot with his insistence on the Black Zero and thereby proving he knew shit. After all,

the government’s deficit is the private sector’s surplus.

Schäuble is a vindictive and mean dipshit. Every Greek will attest to that. The man has absolutely no morals and no style. Remember when this bloke dressed down his assistant in front of cameras? He is an accomplished menace.

There is one thing though, that Flassbeck forgot to point out as it is the pinnacle of Schäuble's career and German democracy's hallmark:

The German Parliament is now chaired by a fucking criminal.
